Happy New Year to the three people who actually read my blog. If for some miraculous reason there is more than three people reading this, Happy New Year to you too! I was hoping to get a blog post up sooner than this but find myself unwell or too busy to even take the photos I need for the posts I want to put up. I will be moving into my own space soon and until then I'm busy, with the help of others, getting it ready. I do find it very hard to do anything blog related when I'm in such a small space at the moment. Oh and lets not forget about the awful, dark, dull, rainy days we get here in Ireland too. It's actually snowing right now.

When I move, I'm hoping to get things with my blog, rolling. I have lots of posts planned and even some videos I want to make. I don't have the best equipment for when it comes to videoing and editing those videos but some of my favourite YouTubers use their webcams or crappy cameras and still manage to produce interesting and awesome content so surely I can do the same!

Grey Hooded Cardigan: H&M, Skeleton Top: New Look, Leggings: Penneys/Primark, Boots: Littlewoods

OK ok, enough rabbiting on. Yesterday I done my makeup, put on some clothes and ended up really liking how it all looked together. I said to Steve would he be able to take some quick photos of me before we lost the light. These are some of the photos he got of me! The photos came out great but the quality isn't the best as the ISO was up pretty high because we had hardy any light, which basically means they're a bit grainy and I noticed they make my foundation look a little cakey. I promise it looked way smoother and nicer than that.

Above are just some photos of the look with my glasses on. I ended up taking them off because of all the raindrops on them (which you can see in the last photo above)! Plus they hid my eye makeup, although this eye makeup and outfit does look well with glasses.

The long grey hooded cardigan thing is from H&M and I searched but can't find it online, sorry! I got this the time I bought a load of awesome grungy, edgy stuff including the dress and leather vest jacket I wore in this post. I love it a lot and wear it loads! It's not super warm though, best for layering or on chilly evenings. Not for when its nearly snowing and in these photos you can actually see my chest going red from the cold! The things I do for blog posts. Shhh.. don't tell Nana.

My skeleton top is from New Look during Halloween last year and isn't available anymore, sadly. It glows in the dark!! I love it.

My foundation is Mac Studio Fix Fluid and it's AMAZING. Well so far anyhow. I will do a review sometime in future I'm sure. On my eyes is two shades from the Limecrime palette "Venus" and on my lips is Limecrime's "Cement" Velvetine. Now I know everyone is completely and totally against Limecrime but to be honest and in my opinion they have great products, I have literally no problems with them and I share the same views about Limecrime that Stephanie Nicole does in this video (starts at 10.22). Totally understand if you don't like them but don't get all angry over some makeup, man! Calm down! You can read more about the scandal's and stuff here, including the whole FDA thing.

Limecrime's Venus palette is amazing, I'm in complete love with it and doing a review post of it is actually one of the many posts I want to get up soon. It's a very red based palette which is perfect if you like your grungy looks. They blend so so well and I will definitely talk about them more in future. In this look I went for an orangey rusty look which I think looks really well with "Cement". Their Velvetines are the only liquid to matt lipsticks that actually stay on my lips for a good while. I don't get the long lastingness like some people do because my lips are ridiculously dry and it does start to fade after awhile but this is the first time I've ever been able to wear anything on my lips for so long. Can't rave about them enough! The colour is an amazing deep grey and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to get it! I got this along with some other things and the Venus palette on sale around Christmas. It was a freakin' amazing sale. Got some Velvetines for pretty much half price. Delighted. Will have a review of all in future.

My boots are from Littlewoods and the only sale thing I bought from there. I find Littlewoods has gotten so bad over the last few years clothes wise. Especially in the plus size section. Bin bags. Yep. 'Cos no plus size lady has actually got a shape and they certainly don't want anything fitted and not baggy. UGH. Anyhow I was going through the sale and spotted these boots for €17! They're actually still on sale but gone up to €21. Not that I need anymore boots but these have low heels and all my other boots have a bit of a heel so I thought these might be a bit more comfortable. To be honest I can't give a good enough review of them right now because I only wore them once. But I love how they look!

And finally onto my jewellery! The pentagram necklace is from Fashionology.nl a good while back. I added it to a different chain so that it would be a little shorter. My choker I bought in a set of 5 from aliexpress.com for like a euro or something. And the Ankh earrings I made myself and get so many compliments on!

I had to obviously include a photo of Steve, my photographer for the day. He froze his little fingers off and moaned about the cold but got me the shots I wanted, so thanks :P He's currently working on a blog post so head over to his blog to see it when it's up!

I have no idea when I'll have another blog post mainly because of being busy and all that I explained at the beginning but definitley in the next few months I'm hoping to get a bit more frequent with posting! You can follow me on my new facebook page Spooky Ash which I've already started to post to! If you have bloglovin, twitter or instagram you can follow me at those places too for updates :)

Thanks for reading!!

It's all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!

31 Oct 2015

Ok before we get started, I'd like to give a soundtrack to this blog post and I think "I Put A Spell On You" from Hocus Pocus is perfect. So head over to YouTube and start playing! Now, I know you are all so jealous of my amazing Hocus Pocus t-shirt from Fright Rags! Unfortunately it was a pre-order and I don't think it's available anymore. Keep an eye on the site though as sometimes they bring shirts back from the graveyard and keep an eye on places like eBay as well.

Before I show you details of the tee and outfit here is some details of my make up! I really liked how I done my eyes. You can't see them very well above but I wanted to include this photo cos for some reason I look like I have purple hair! :D

As a base for my eyes I used the orangey colour in Seventeens Define and Conquer contour kit. The kits they have out are far too orange for my liking to use as a contour but as an autumn, grungy matt eyeshadow they're amazing. I have no idea what shade of kit I have because I see it nowhere on the box. But you can see little hints of orange and brown on the outer parts of the eye shadow. I then went in with Catrice's The Captain of the Black Pearl eye shadow into the crease and under the bottom lash line. I went over the top with a Blingtone purple glitter eye shadow which I bought years ago in Boots and never seen it anywhere again but it's amazing. I then used NYC's liquid liner for my wings which I use all the time now, it's so good, especially for the price. My eyebrows are my own and HD Brows power in a very dark brown blackish colour.

On my lips I have Nightmoth lipliner from Mac with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania over top. The application isn't very neat as I didn't have much time to apply so please ignore that! But I love the colour so much and both those products go so well together.

My hat is from either Penneys/Primark or New Look. It was pretty cheap anyhow but good quality and I really like it! It gives an extra witchy look to the outfit. Lots of places are doing similar hats like this in store! My earrings are from Fashionology.nl awhile ago so not sure they still have them.

Fright Rags do amazing horror tees all year around, which between Steve and I, we have a wardrobe full! But at Halloween they usually have extra special shirts and this year they didn't disappoint! As soon as I knew it was going to be Hocus Pocus I knew I had to have it! I love the artwork and love how they included all the main characters! Like I said above, unfortunately it's not available anymore and this is one of the sad things about Fright Rags! Most of these special shirts you have to preorder and if you miss out you might never see them again. This is why we have far too many of them haha!

My kimono/cardigan thing is from Penney's. I think I bought it at the beginning of the year. It doesn't feel as nice and velvety as it looks but it still looks really nice and dresses up a t-shirt well.

My super cute wooden cat on a broomstick is from a wonderful site called Hey Chickadee and I want everything from it, especially all their Halloween stuff. Keep an eye on them after Halloween as this necklace and others might go on sale! I bought this necklace a couple of years ago so the one on site is a little different now! The cat is coloured in black and has a yellow eye!

The trees behind me in the photo above are called The Three Sisters. I thought this location was perfect for this post seeing as Hocus Pocus involves three wicked witches! I was told by my teacher in school but I can't remember the story that went along with it but just remember being told they were called The Three Sisters. I could be totally making this up but that's what I remember anyhow!

Outfit:
Penney's/Primark Kimono
H&M Leggings
Penney's or New Look Hat
Purple Doc Martens

Thanks to Steve as always for taking such great photos, I won't have been able to post any of these outfit posts without him. <3

Let me know what you think of the outfit and if you'll be searching for that Hocus Pocus tee somewhere!

Happy Halloween! Have a wonderful one!

ASOS Ghost Leggings - Halloween Lookbook #3

15 Oct 2015

My final series post with the amazing ASOS ghost leggings! For the first look that's comfy and casual click here and for the second look which is much more edgy click here :)

For this look I went a bit more dressy and fancy! Well for me anyhow :P My top is sleeveless even though you can't see, it has slits at the sides which I love and you can see more of in the video below. I got it in Penneys/Primark in the summer months so not such if it's still available.

My faux leather jacket is also from Penneys/Primark. My hat I'm not too sure where I got it! Might have been New Look or Penneys also! My midi rings are from Penneys/Primark but the rest of the jewellery I made myself. The crescent moon/pentagram necklace was made by me and the Ankh earrings also made by me which I always got complimented on when out and about! Everyone seems to love them!

My boots I got in New Look awhile ago. They have a bit of a heal and lots of studs! So pretty! :)

For some reason we didn't seem to take as much pictures of this look, I think we were getting tired and hungry :P, but you can see it in more detail in my video below!

I also got Steve to film some clips of all three outfits which I made into a YouTube video. Even though my editing software is just horrible I do like how it turned out in the end. The only audio is birds singing which I recorded while we were there in the graveyard. I searched the internet for free music to play over it but could find nothing fitting so then I thought why not just play your own music over it or you could play one of these that I have picked, that all go super well with the video!

Ghost - If You Have Ghosts (Roky Erickson Cover)
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Spellbound
Roky Erickson - Night of the Vampire

Will you be buying yourself some ASOS Ghost Leggings!? Have you bought any Halloween related clothing items this year yet? Let me know in the comments below! :D

Thanks for reading!

ASOS Ghost Leggings - Halloween Lookbook #2

14 Oct 2015

I think this may have been my favourite outfit of all three. This is the more edgy rock look compared to yesterday's more casual and comfy look. If I could, I would go out like this everyday. But the effort though :P Haha!

With this look I have paired the amazing ASOS Ghost Leggings (more in dept review on my first outfit post) with my Fright Rags Vincent Price t-shirt! How amazing is this tee? Just perfect for Halloween. Unfortunately I don't think it's available anymore on the Fright Rags site but they do sometimes bring some tees back from the graveyard so keep an eye on their site.

My fake leather jacket is from Penneys/Primark. I got it for €14 and it's actually really good quality. I may have to go back for another so I can DIY it! I have a Beetlejuice patch that needs to go somewhere.

My choker is the same one I was wearing in my first outfit, that I made. Those amazing skeleton earrings actually glow in the dark and are from Claire's Accessories. They're so comfy to wear! I know I'll be wearing them loads this Halloween/October/Autumn/Winter/Always. You can't actually see them that well but I'm also wearing some rings from Penneys/Primark but you can get a closer look at them in my video below along with my Doc Martens which I was also wearing!

My final look with the ASOS Ghost Leggings will be up tomorrow. Lots more Halloween outfits to come though! :D

Thanks to Steve for taking all the awesome photos <3

ASOS Ghost Leggings - Halloween Lookbook #1

13 Oct 2015

It's the most wonderful time of the year! And all the good clothing sites have their Halloween stock in. I have bought loads and will have some outfits posts about them in future but today's post is all about ASOS's wonderful Ghost Leggings! I'm going to have 3 blog posts all about styling these leggings! You can see all the looks in the video lookbook at the end of this post :)

Aren't they just awesome? I seen ghost leggings on ASOS last year and the year before but never purchased, probably because I didn't have the money but this year I wasn't going to miss out! I didn't wait for a sale or anything because I know they do sell out fast coming close to Halloween. €25 does seem like an awful lot for a pair of leggings but being so unusual as well as good quality, I think they're worth it!

I paired them with this amazing Halloween jumper I've had for awhile now and haven't gotten the chance to wear yet. I'm pretty sure I also bought this on ASOS for about €8 on sale! My friend Rachel let me know about it (Thanks Rachel! :D) and of course for that cheap I had to buy it! I don't think it's available onsite anymore as it was old stock. Sorry guys! It's a size "medium" so it's a little tight. Fits like a 16-18UK I would say.

My choker I actually made myself. I bought a pack of 5 tattoo chokers for like €1 on Aliexpress and then last year I found some Halloween loom band charms for cheap and decided I could make necklaces or something out of them instead of actually using them for loom bands. It's a little RIP tombstone and so cute!

My boots are Doc Martens I bought second hand a few years ago and wear them so much especially coming into the colder weather. (Even though here in Ireland it's still so warm and mild, WTF Ireland!)

The one amazing thing about these leggings, especially if you're plus sized, is that the sizes are huge! I'm a size 18-20UK mostly and the leggings are only available up to 18 which I bought and actually had to return because they were so big! I say they would definitely fit sizes 22, 24, 26UK. I returned the 18 and got a 16 which is still actually a little too big for me! I say a 14 would have been perfect. So size down if you're any smaller than me. Size down a lot! I however was happy with the 16 as they're very comfortable! And if I do manage to catch the 14 on sale later in the month I'll buy a second pair ;)

And lastly my cute little ghost earrings that I got in Claires Accessories! The other ghost actually has 3 eyes haha! Of course I had to get them :P

I also got Steve to film some clips of all three outfits which I made into a YouTube video that you can watch here.

Roky Erickson - Night of the Vampire

Outfit 2 will be up tomorrow!

See anything you like? Will you be buying yourself some Ghost Leggings?!
Thanks for reading, looking and watching! :D
