Project 365 // Days 1 - 7

8 Jan 2015

The 365 photo project is something I've been wanting to do for years now but finally decided to give it a go properly. I was inspired by The Dainty Squids blog post "Project 365 + why you should do one too!" if you are interesting in doing your own project I would recommend reading it too!

Things that always stopped me in the past:

* limiting myself to only using my DSLR camera which I'm not doing this year. I'm allowing myself to use any form of camera to take my photos with. So far I've just used my Nikon D80 and my iPhone. It's already relieved the pressure slightly.
* getting too hung up on taking perfect shots. A snap of what I've bought that day or what I'm reading/watching/eating or just of anything random will also do.
* if I miss a day, that's ok! When I've tried to do this project in the past I would usually miss a day and then just end up stopping. I will make sure and not do that this time.

I'm excited to see what it will be like at the end of the year. How I managed to keep it going. If you're doing this project yourself let me know! I would love to see your posts!

And now, on to the photos I took this week!

1/365: I took this photo of Steve as a test photo for my Alternative Curves post (which you can see here), I was originally going to get Steve to take photos of me using my Nikon D80 but the light was just too dark and you couldn't really make out my makeup I had on that day so we ended up taking the photos with my iPhone. The photo of Steve however, came out excellent and he looks very awesome! :D

2/365: Another of Steve, this time taken with my iPhone, of his awesome Shining t-shirt he got in the december Horror Block. He will have a video and blog review up of it every soon.

3/365: Ok so I really didn't mean to have so many photos of Steve this early on but as I spend so much time with him and he ends up looking so awesome in certain light, like above, I end up getting great photos of him. There will probably be loads more in this project so you'll have to get used to his face :P In the photo above, the sun was coming in the window and highlighting his face. I think he looks like he should be in Sons of Anarchy or something!

4/365: This was the photo I left out my my "Day In The Life #1" post. Taken at Foxhall, Legan, Co. Longford. The sky looked amazing that day. A pity I forgot to bring my Nikon D80 with me so this photo was taken with my iPhone!

5/365: The Christmas tree in the middle of Legan village. To see all the photos I took that night head over to my Facebook Photography Page. I had lots of fun taking those photos and want to take some more night photos of Legan in future.

6/365: Back to Foxhall again. I spotted the rainbow, quickly lined up the shot, took a few, looked at what I took and then looked up again and the rainbow was gone. I wasn't even there for a minute. Just a few seconds! So I was glad I got this shot! I took a couple more shots that same day which will be up on my Facebook Photography Page soon.

7/365: Yesterday was definitely a stay inside and do not go outside kind of day. It was raining the whole day and we ended up just watching Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban and I read more of The Goblet of Fire. I'm currently re-reading the entire Harry Potter series and enjoying it very much! I haven't read it since I was in my teens.

And that's it for now! I will have my next 365 post up in a week hopefully! :D
