Spooky Box Club Unboxings

29 May 2017

I've done some Spooky Box Club unboxings in blog posts before but fell behind with letting you guys know about them here. Since the last box I posted about (The Haunted Library box), I have filmed a good few videos and thought I'd share them here with you! I have a playlist on YouTube where you can watch each video one after the other but below I've posted each video with a little bit of info under each video so you know what to expect and can pick and choose which video you might want to watch if you don't want to watch them all! I recommend watching them all though obviously :P

Also if you're in Ireland and are thinking of subscribing I recommend reading this blog post of mine about how to use Address Pal and get cheaper shipping this way.

The Voodoo Box

First up we have The Voodoo box! A cute voodoo doll, an awesome green voodoo necklace, one of my favourite patches we've gotten so far and some other cool items!

Blood Moon Box

I love my makeup in this video and really need to do it like this again! Hehe! Apparently I had already filmed this and didn't like it so redone it even though I have no memory of doing that! I was unwell with a flu around that time though it seems. I'm glad I don't remember so haha! Anyhow inside we had a sticky choker, smelly tea, a beautiful crescent moon sticker and print, a great quality necklace and some more great items! It was a good box.

Urban Gothic

You can obviously see I was doing the makeup challenge when I filmed this video hehe! :D This box had a lot of black but I'm not complaining! It had a really nice tumbler for drinks, a great witchy patch, a batty hand sanitizer bottle, one of the best pins of all time and more!

Spirits and Spells

Around this time Spooky Box fell behind with boxes. I think sometimes they have to wait for handmade items and it delays them sometimes. Anyhow this time we actually got two boxes together. The first one was the Spirits and Spells and the second was the Dead Cute box which is posted below! Anyhow in this box we got a spooky mug, some really nice incense, a witchy dainty necklace, a broomstick pin of awesomeness and a couple more great items!

Dead Cute

In the Dead Cute box we got one of the best makeup bags of all time, a very cool hairband, a weird pin, a super cute charm and some other fun kawaii bits!

Memento Mori

The latest box I've received was the Memento Mori one and while it did have some good items, it did feel emptier than others and didn't really have a main item. The stand out things for me where the pin, brooch and Tim Burton style patch!

The next box should be sent out soon and I will be doing a video as soon as I receive it so be sure to be subscribed to my YouTube for updates!

What has been one of your favourite items in all the boxes so far? Will you be signing up yourself? Let me know and thanks for reading!

The Lipstick Loving Nurse 30 Day Make-up Challenge: Week 2

28 May 2017

I've been neglecting my blog far too much. But too be fair I have been making a lot of YouTube videos which you can watch here! I will have more blog posts to come about those though.

I thought I would finish what I started. The Lipstick Loving Nurse's 30 Day Make Up Challenge ended some time ago but I had so much fun doing them I didn't want to miss doing a blog post showing you guys the finished looks. This was the second week of themes. I will try and give as much info as I can but honestly I've kinda forgotten some of the products used etc. I also stopped taking photos of the products I used because honestly I just forgot to do it at the time plus it was just too much energy after I used all my spoons (Fibromyalgia sufferer!) on doing my makeup! I also don't have the energy to even write out everything I used. Ah the joys of having a foggy brain.

(If there is anything you would like to know about what I'm wearing though don't be afraid to ask because I should have an idea what it is, I just don't have the brain to list every single one right now!)

Day 8 - Raver

I googled some photos of 90s Ravers and they either didn't wear a lot of makeup or wear a lot of colour and glitter! So I done my foundation, lightly filled my brows, no contour just a bit of blush, blue eyeshadow all over my eye and in the crease with some glittery purple along my lashline and lots of glitter in the inner corner, brow bone and top of cheeks! It's kind of 80s so I thought adding the tattoo choker along with my lil buns in my hair made it a bit more 90s! Oh and lips is Limecrime's purple Velvetine in Rave! I thought it fit well! So pretty and bright! I done everything quick and not to perfect as most ravers didn't apply everything perfectly and it was quite messy!

This is also the only look where I took a pick of the makeup I used! If you would like to know more details just comment below!

Day 9 - Cartoon

I seen looks like this comic cartoon makeup around the internet so much. It's a very popular look to recreate so I had to give it a go! It was ridiculously hard to get a good photo of it though! It was so much fun and I really need to try and do this again sometime.

Day 10 - Sunset

This look ended up being a bit more fiery looking than I would have liked but I do love how it turned out. I should have added a bit more pink to lighten it up more.  I'm pretty sure I used the Venus palette from Limecrime and Buttercup eyeshadow from Sugarpill!

Day 11 - Kawaii

I never get to use this glittery ears enough! This was so much fun and I think everyone should glue confetti to their faces all the time. I went for the kawaii-est (cutest) look I could think of, lots of pastel colours, glitter, confetti and lightly coloured lips! So Kawaii! :D

Day 12 - Rainbow

I think this one may have been my favourite of all the look I done. It was honestly the easiest thing to do (literally just pick a colour and put it on your face, blend into the next and repeat!) but the most effective look. I wish I could wear this all the time! I used some Sugarpill and then mainly the Electric palette from Urban Decay I think! I used ALL the colours :D

Day 13 - 1990s

Grungy and awesome, pretty much how I want to look all the time! I have literally no idea what products I used haha! :D

Day 14 - Black and White

I know I followed a tutorial of this off YouTube but I cannot find it now. If I eventually do I'll link it. But this was another comic book/graphic novel style look that I was really happy with. I have included the original picture along with the black and white cos the actual black and white picture works a lot better but I also wanted you to be able to see the original.

I will have week 3 up... sometime haha! I promise it will come soon! I will try my best and put some effort into blogging some more. I get a bit caught up in it to look and be perfect but I honestly don't have the time or energy for that so I'll just be doing my best from now on!

Which look was your favourite?! What to recreate any of them?! I honestly want to try them all again!

Thanks for reading!

The Lipstick Loving Nurse 30 Day Make-up Challenge: Week 1

11 Jan 2017

Hi guys! It's my first post of 2017! Woo! Happy New Year!

Starting on the 1st of this month I began a make-up challenge that Marian from The Lipstick Loving Nurse started! It's a 30 Day Make-up Challenge with different themes for each day! I thought I would share with you the first week of looks. I'm having loads of fun with this and hope to continue until the end of the month. I may miss a day here or there but overall I'm excited to be playing and practising with make-up more and with my fibromyalgia and anxiety, it's great to get up and actually feel like I've accomplished something! So thank you for starting the challenge Marian! <3 Make sure to head over to this post if you want to do it yourself!

Day 1: Rock Chick

I will admit the first day I actually had this make-up done before I decided I was going to do the challenge! But I thought this earthy, witchy look still fitted in with the Rock Chick theme! I'm more of a 70's rock chick!

Foundation: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Blush: NYX Blush in Mauve
Eyebrows: Sugarpill's Bulletproof eye-shadow
Eyes: Limecrime Venus II Palette, top shade is Mustard and bottom shade is Mud.
Black rimmel eyeliner in the waterline.
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips: LA Splash Dia De Los Muertos Lip Couture in El Catrin
I also added a confetti moon on my forehead with some eyelash glue!

Day 2: 1980's

I wasn't super happy with my look for the 80's. I think it came out a bit messy and you can see in the 2nd photo the purple is a little patchy! I didn't apply enough around the crease. But it also might have to do with the fact I have no primer. If anyone can recommend a good eye primer that isn't too dry and that I could get in boots, let me know! I added some pearls and hooped earrings to be a little more 80sness! I also matched the colours to my amazing Halloween dress Steve got me for Christmas!

Foundation: Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Blush: NYX Blush in Mauve
Eyebrows: Sugarpill's Bulletproof eye-shadow
Eyes: Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette and their single eye-shadow Acidberry
Lips: Make-up Revolution Lipstick in Depraved

Day 3: Brow Power

Too make my eyebrows stand out the most I went for flawless skin, minimal eyes and a nude lip. I also made my eyebrows a bit wild as they show up a lot more I think!

Foundation: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Blush: NYX Blush in Mauve
Eyebrows: Sugarpill's Bulletproof eye-shadow with a clear Rimmel eyebrow gel.
Eyes: Limecrime Venus II Palette, Fly all over the lid, isn't it just so pretty?!
NYX Milk Jumbo Pencil in the waterline.
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips: Two Faced Cosmetics Melted Matte Liquefied Lipstick in Cool Girl (I love it so much!)

Day 4: Ice Ice Baby

I had so much fun with this look! But it was so difficult to get a good photo of it and how it really looked! Oh well. I went for an ice fairy kind of look! I didn't bother whiting out my eyebrows they're just too black and wild so I filled them in normally but put some white on the front tips and added glitter too! I've got to do blue contour again sometime! :D

Foundation: Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Limecrime Venus II Palette in the shade Filter
Glitter: Wet N Wild Face and Body Glitter
Eyebrows: Sugarpill's Bulletproof eye-shadow
Eyes: Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette shade Bone all over the lid, Limecrime Venus II Palette shade Filter.
Limecrime Lunar Sea eyeliner which I put on my eyelashes as well as used as eyeliner.
NYX Milk Jumbo Pencil on the waterline.
Lips: Make-up Revolution Lipstick in Immortal
Confetti moon on my forehead and cheeks with some eyelash glue!

Day 5: Retro-Futuristic

I really had no idea what to do for this theme so I ended up giving it a googling and searching pinterest. While searching pinterest I found this and thought it was perfect! I tried to recreate it and this is what I ended up with. Obviously not perfect and I would definitely use tape next time to get finer lines but I do like how it turned out. I thought the angular feel to the eye-liner was futuristic and then the gold underneath has a retro feel. Then flawless skin, sharp contour and nude lips just aren't going to go out of style so I felt they were both retro and futuristic!

Foundation: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Blush: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Eyebrows: Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Eyes: I started with a gel eyeliner but it didn't work out to well so I ended up using Kat Von D's Trooper eyeliner pen and it work amazingly! You can get such finer lines than with gel. I then put Sugarpill's Bulletproof on top to set it.
The gold below the eyes is from the Essence All About Sunrise palette.
Rimmel Black eyeliner in the waterline.
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips: Two Faced Cosmetics Melted Matte Liquefied Lipstick in Cool Girl.

Day 6: Pretty In Pink

I used to really dislike pink but I've slowly come to really liking it now. I got excited about this theme because I knew exactly what palette to reach for: the amazing Limecrime Venus Palette! It's basically just reds and pinks and its so beautiful! So that's what I used on my eyes. I then used Limecrimes Pink Velvet Velvetine which I love so much and get so much use out of! It's simple but I really like it and might even redo it sometime as it was so easy to do but effective and goes really nice with anything grey you're wearing!

Foundation: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Blush: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Eyebrows: Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Eyes: Limecrime Venus Palette, I used Shell all over the eyelid,  Rebirth in the crease and Aura in the inner corner and as an all over highlight!
I have no brown liner for my waterline so I used a brown brow pencil instead.
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips: Limecrime Pink Velvet Velvetine

Day 7: 10 Minute Look

Today I really wasn't in the mind to do my makeup so I was glad it was a quick challenge today. This look took me 12 mins to do! Most of that time was spend finding the things though and doing my eyebrows haha! :D I didn't apply much and I didn't spend to much time doing this look at all but I actually really love it and would do it again for days when I'm maybe not feeling the best to just spruce myself up!

Foundation: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation
Concealer: NYX HD concealer
Contour: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Blush: NYX Blush in Mauve
Eyebrows: Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Eyes: Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette (I applied and blended with my fingers!)
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Lips: Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm thing!

Don't forget if you want to do the challenge yourself head over to Marian's blog here for all the days challenges! She's posted each day she's completed herself and they're seriously so amazing you should check them all out!

Let me know what you think of all the looks and I'll see you guys in my next post! :)

Thanks for reading!

VLOGMAS WEEK 1

8 Dec 2016

I have successfully completed a week of Vlogmas! I have been vlogging the best I can since the beginning of December and hope to continue until the end of the month. Some people stop on the 25th but I think I'll continue till the 31st.

It's been a hard week because I've been having a very hard time with IBS, Anxiety and Fibromyalgia. Something I talk more about in the last video of the week 'VLOGMAS DAY 7'. I got quite pumped up about talking about it so I videoed and then had to decided whatever or not to upload it as it's a difficult subject and not something I talk about that much. It's not a secret or anything or something I want to hide it's just personal and as you know talking about your mental and physical health too strangers and for all to see can be very daunting.

Anyhow there is lots of other things in my vlogs including Albi the Bearded Dragon (he's the cutest!), lots of Steve, some donkey friends, our awesome spooky Christmas Tree, different make-up looks and lipsticks that I'm obsessed with, my birthday and birthday presents!

So I'll post them all below where you can check them out. I would really appreciate some likes or comments just to let me know you're watching :) You can view the whole playlist here as well!

*Yet to come on Vlogmas: A better look at the presents I got for my birthday, more mental health talk, movies and TV talk, Albi and Steve, foods! and I'll definitely try and do a Q&A type thing with Steve that I think would be fun!

VLOGMAS DAY 1: MEET ALBI

VLOGMAS DAY 2: THE USUAL

VLOGMAS DAY 3: PUTTING UP OUR SPOOKY CHRISTMAS TREE

VLOGMAS DAY 4: FIBROMYALGIA SUCKS

VLOGMAS DAY 5: MY BIRTHDAY

VLOGMAS DAY 6: OPENING PRESENTS

VLOGMAS DAY 7: BEING HONEST AND OPEN ABOUT IBS, ANXIETY AND FIBROMYALGIA

Thanks so much for reading/watching!
Lots more to come :)

Some Changes + Vlogtober 2016!

14 Nov 2016

So, I'm not too sure if you guys have noticed but I've changed my name! I was Spooky Ash but I'm now going with my real name Aishling O'Neill. I've thought about this for awhile and I think it just makes things a bit simpler and joins things up with my Photography Blog and Facebook, this way when my name is searched you'll find me in all places! I just wanted to make it a bit handier and clearer as to who I am! I hope it doesn't cause too much confusion but I doubt it will because I have such a small following! So it's the perfect time to do it really! :D Oh and I'm very much still "spooky" and will have lots of "spooky" related posts coming, that hasn't changed ;)

I can now be found at aishlingoneill.blogspot.ie
Twitter: @AishlingO_Neill
Instagram: @AishlingO_Neill
Tumblr: aishling-oneill.tumblr.com
YouTube: youtube.com/aishlingoneill

That's the site names I've changed so far and places I'm most active.

I haven't posted on my blog for quite sometime because at the beginning of the year I was extremely unwell with anxiety. It's something I might discuss in future, in a YouTube video maybe but for now I'm focusing on feeling better, enjoying it and YouTubing loads. You may not have known but I actually have been posting lots of YouTube videos over the last couple of months.

Today I thought I'd share with you my Vlogtober playlist! Yes that's right, I actually vlogged everyday in October! I actually did it! And it was actually quite fun! I would really appreciate if you guys could check it out and give me your thoughts! I'd love to know what you think! I talk and show all sorts in the videos so if you want to know more about me it's the place to go!

I also have lots more videos on there and will share them in another blog post soon. Until then you can check them out here.

It's good to be back blogging again and I'm having so much fun with YouTube. If you have a YouTube yourself please do link it below or if you're thinking of starting one let me know too!

Thanks, as always :)

Spooky Box Club: Haunted Library Unboxing

11 Nov 2016

I'm back with a Spooky Box Club unboxing and just like all the others, this one did not disappoint!
This one is called the Haunted Library box and I was super excited to see what book related items would be included. Too learn more about Spooky Box Club I'll link you back to this post where I explain all about it and how to get good shipping to Ireland.

Anyhow onto the goodies!
You can watch the video here as I open everything and get all the surprises! Or you can keep scrolling to see photos of all the items.

First up is this amazing stamp that says "This Book Belongs To..." and you can write your name or whatever you like in the blank space. The detail is just so lovely and it's really a big stamper as well! It's not little and has a lovely wooden handle. I do have ink somewhere so I must see if I can use it!

"Once Upon A Midnight Dreary" patch with a little raven on the side. This is just too cute and again its a really good size and can be used as a back patch! Can't wait to sew this onto something!

They included a pin in every box and this box's one is an amazing Ghost Stories book pin! I just love it so much and will be wearing it all the time! So spooky!

This glow in the dark ghost bookmark is just too cute and super handy! I already have him making the pages of the book I'm reading (Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children).

There wasn't one, or two but THREE amazing pillow cases in this box! I was so surprised and delighted with them! I can't wait to get pillows for them!

A cute lil print! I have so many prints from these boxes now and I badly need to get frames for them all!

Another surprising thing added to this box was tea! I really wasn't expecting tea but what a great thing to add! And it smells super amazing!

Also included was the usual lollipop that Steve claimed and ate! It was very tasty!

Overall I'm super happy with this box and there's nothing that won't get used. As always its just such a fantastic subscription box and I already can't wait for the next one!

Just to remind you again I speak more about it here in this blog post and give a bit more info about it and shipping to Ireland.

What was your favourite item in this box? Do you think you'll be subscribing?! The next box is the Voodoo box and I just can't wait for it and will have a video and blog post all about it for sure!

Thanks so much for reading and watching the video if you did! I would really appreciate if you subscribed!
